Vision
We seek to develop and create well-managed, well-supported and well-maintained sustainable community gardens. Initially across the city of Winston Salem, we will give access to land and the required resources for both inner city and rural residents.
The first milestone is to target 25 gardens and increase this as the project gains momentum.
The gardens will be used as a community focal point to introduce and coordinate educational activities on horticulture, health and wellness, the environment and other quality of life programs through a series of seminars, lectures and presentations throughout each year for stakeholders. They will be a central part of community life where people come to meet, converse, and work together and take a collective pride in the fruit of their labors.
Mission Statement
Facilitating sustainable community garden creations, bringing people together from all walks of life to achieve a long lasting, positive, and enriching health benefit to individuals, families, and communities.
